Does life sometimes feel like a jigsaw puzzle with pieces not slotting together?

Counselling, psychotherapy and coaching.

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Jigsaw Counselling & Coaching.

My name is Mandy and I provide counselling, psychotherapy and coaching in Eastleigh, Hampshire as well as online via Zoom.

I have worked as a Probation Officer for 20 years. This has given me the experience and ability to sit with the uncomfortable and create a therapeutic relationship which is non-judgemental and warm.

The client's needs are at the centre of that working relationship be it short- or long-term therapy. I am aware coming to therapy is not easy. However, my aim is for us to work together to get a better understanding of why those pieces of the jigsaw are not fitting together. I do this through working creatively using various techniques.

How Can I Help you make Better, Healthier New Choices

Does life sometimes feel like a jigsaw puzzle with pieces not slotting together?

I am a great believer that we need to invest in ourselves. When life becomes difficult and those pieces are just not fitting (for example suffering with anxiety and not understanding why; experiencing grief and having to juggle life; looking at the different parts of our lives and trying to work out how they can be more harmonious e.g. work, relationships), therapy gives you the opportunity to focus on yourself, make you the priority in an otherwise busy life. I have been through such times and it encouraged me to to train as a counsellor then a psychotherapist to help clients with general mental health issues and other life difficulties, such as grief and other losses, addiction, sexuality, relationships, domestic abuse and anger issues.

Working together I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward.

Counselling takes place in a safe space, where I will listen with sensitivity, empathy and without judgement. In the therapy space thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and in confidence.

People come to me for help a wide range of reasons. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that I can support:

Feelings of stress or anxiety

Relationship problems both intimate and family

Various types of grief, loss or bereavement

Problems with addiction

Depression

Problems with confidence or self-esteem

Anger management

Exploring sexuality, identity and gender

Difficulties at work or in retirement

Problems with family

Trauma and post-traumatic stress

Couples/Relationship Therapy

This work is about wanting to invest in making changes to your relationship or helping you to navigate the complexities of separation.

It gives you a chance to understand what has created the difficulties and to start to rebuild a new relationship together. It is about creating a new chapter in your relationship story rather than trying to capture what you did have.

It is not always about mending the relationship, it can also support those who have decided to part. The therapeutic relationship can help you to navigate the ending of the relationship by working through the process.
